As we gear up for another exciting South Beach Wine & Food Festival later this month, I can’t help but reflect on our incredible partnership with Capital One at previous year’s events.
At Hype, our approach to staffing goes far beyond simply filling positions. We pride ourselves on our meticulous process of identifying and hand-selecting the perfect staff for each role. This attention to detail was on full display during the 2023 South Beach Wine & Food Festival, where we staffed four high-level activations throughout the event.
Our staffing strategy for Capital One’s activations was comprehensive and tailored. We carefully curated a team of 35 staff members, each chosen for their specific skills and experience. Our selection process focused on individuals with a proven track record in VIP and luxury-style events.
But our commitment to excellence didn’t stop at selection. We implemented a rigorous training program to ensure every team member was fully prepared. This included a mandatory 1-hour video training call for all staff, plus an intensive 4-hour onsite training session for those working the Grand Tasting and North Venue events. This preparation was key to our flawless execution across all four activations:
1. Grand Tasting: We deployed a robust team of 1 Team Lead and 12 Brand Ambassadors, with 3 backups ready to step in if needed.
2. North Venue: A smaller but equally skilled team of 1 Team Lead and 3 Brand Ambassadors, plus 1 backup, ensured smooth operations.
3. Best of the Best: This prestigious event was staffed with 1 Team Lead and 7 Brand Ambassadors, with 1 backup on standby.
4. Exclusive Dinners: We provided 2 specialized Brand Ambassadors and 1 backup for these intimate, high-end events.
Additionally, we supplied 2 Production Assistants to support the overall event logistics.
As we look forward to this year’s festival, we’re excited to bring this same level of expertise and dedication to Capital One’s activations once again.
