Intern Diaries: Week 5-7

From the desk of Caleigh,

I’m back for another update! Week 5 was a quick one, but came at a relatively calm pace. The end of the week featured a kickoff meeting for a new program, and it was exciting to get a glimpse of what’s to come from these activations in Chicago. Leah and I got acquainted with the new program for Cafe Bustelo, where activations will be taking place at both retail and festival events throughout the U.S., and learned about the roles/responsibilities of the future BAs (and DJs!) on the footprint.

During Week 6, I have worked my way through more areas interviewing for the Olipop activation, accumulating a total of 8 cities now. I was able to assist in making decisions about who we would pick for the Team Lead candidate in a few cities, and choosing the rest of the BA candidates. Alongside my fellow interns, Elise and Leah, we were tasked with pulling relevant events/locations in Indianapolis for a street team to hand out postcards about women’s health. We got to collaborate on the research and identified about a dozen different events that could be suitable for this theme.

I wrapped up Olipop interviews, staff decks and all decision-making for this activation during Week 7. After Olipop, I jumped into interviews for Life at Chewy, a pet-product retailer whose activations are going to be focused on families, kids, and dogs. I also got into some administrative tasks for our Coca-Cola ambassadors, where I verified their consent to background checks. It has been an eventful and productive few weeks, and hard to believe I only have a couple left at Hype!

See you in a few 🙂
