Hype’s 2024 Coca-Cola Sampling Programs: A Year of Refreshing Success

In 2024, Hype had the pleasure of staffing over 20 Coca-Cola sampling programs across the United States. From one-day events to long-running activations, our teams brought the refreshing taste of Coca-Cola to communities nationwide. Here’s a look at how we made it happen:

Program Diversity

Our Coca-Cola sampling programs ranged from high-energy one-offs like the 4th of July’s Boom By the Bay and the Summer Olympics Kick-Off to extended campaigns such as Coca-Cola SeaWorld and the Fall Football Evergreen Tour. Whether a single day or a months-long activation, our Brand Ambassadors (BAs) consistently delivered with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Staffing Highlights
• Demographics: We prioritized Gen Z and Millennial BAs with prior food and beverage sampling experience.
• Local Talent: BAs were sourced from the local communities where events took place, ensuring authentic connections with attendees.
Diversity: Teams were carefully composed to reflect the diversity of the communities they served, often including bilingual Spanish-English speakers.
• Energy Levels: Given the high-volume, often noisy venues, we emphasized selecting BAs with vibrant, engaging personalities.
• Specialized Roles: For select events, we staffed Coca-Cola’s iconic polar bear mascot, requiring BAs with specific physical attributes and mascot experience.

Activation Scope:

Geographic Reach: Coca-Cola activations spanned 115 cities across 27 states, with Florida, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, and Indiana seeing the most activity.
Venue Variety: Our teams brought Coca-Cola’s magic to sporting arenas, amusement parks, music festivals, tailgates, and more.
• Team Sizes: Depending on the event, we deployed teams ranging from 2-3 BAs for intimate gatherings to 5-7 BAs for larger-scale activations.
