Fall Into Your Beauty College Tour

We just finished our last stop of the 2013 Fall Into Your Beauty Tour, a partnership with Mary Kay, Cosmopolitan, and Seventeen Magazine. The tour kicked off at The University of Massachusetts, and it is hard to believe that over the course of one month, we visited ten different universities across the country!

Each school stop provided a fun day of beauty makeovers, consultations, and lots of Mary Kay products! Students that attended the event received a free makeover, and were able to leave with a bag containing over $150 of free Mary Kay products.

“After getting makeovers, my friends and I had so much fun taking pictures in the photo booth,” said Vanessa, a sophomore at UMASS. “We loved using all of the fun props too, especially the mustaches!”

In addition to the brand ambassadors and makeup artists, representatives from Seventeen and Cosmopolitan were on hand to welcome students and chat about the latest fall fashion and beauty trends.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the Mary Kay foundation has partnered with the “Love is Respect” domestic violence awareness campaign. Their “Text For Help” initiative gives students the confidence to speak up, and is completely anonymous.

Each event had a freestanding wall that students could sign to pledge their promise to text if they ever find themselves caught in what they think could be an abusive situation or relationship.

Overall, all of the events have been a great success. To follow this tour, and see all of the great universities we visited, be sure to check out the hashtag #MKFallBeauty
