Expo West Staffing Roundup – Bringing Activations to Life with Brand Ambassadors

Expo West is the premier destination for healthy brands to shine light and introduce their products into the market with a big splash!  Brands across food, beverage, beauty, and more, come from all over the world to create experiences around natural and organic products. This year, Hype! provided brand ambassador staff for a few different (yummy) brands to bring awareness at one of the biggest expos of the year!

Meet the Brands:

–    Beanitos: Beanitos are a clean-eating chip snack made from beans, sourced from American Farmers and cooked from scratch. The chips go straight from the farm to the bag. Beanitos are pioneering the movement to turn the humble bean into a culinary hero that is tasty, sustainable and nutrient rich.

–    Late July: Late July showcased a whole line of snacks this year at Expo West. From Tortilla Chips, to Cantina Dippers, to Popcorn and Kettle Corn, Late July aims to bring a punch of flavor and an edge to their natural, organic, & non-GMO snack line.

–    Campbell Snacks: Campbell Snacks displayed an array of snacks this year at Expo West including Kettle Chips, Emerald Nuts, Pretzel Crisps, and Cape Cod Chips. Kettle Chips are a non-GMO, gluten free and environmentally sustainable potato chip that comes in a variety of flavors. Emerald nuts are a tasty and nutritious snack for those on the go. Made with a simple and short ingredients list, consumers trust Pretzel Crisps to help keep them on track towards a healthy, balanced diet. Cape Cod Chips are the simple but delicious option with only 3 ingredients- potatoes, salt and olive oil as well as 40% less fat than the average chip.

Our goal at Hype! was to provide staff that were representative of all these brands ethos of health, fitness and sustainability.  With this at the core of our search, we found and hired a variety of Brand Ambassadors who are yogis, fitness buffs, nutritionists, and juice bar enthusiasts, to sample and introduce the attendees to the many healthy brands we were representing. Our staff handed out thousands of samples, keeping consumers informed and well fed all weekend long!

The setup of each brand’s activation at the expo was different. Beanitos’ booth was simple, polished and quaint while playing off the idea that it truly is farm to bag. Late July’s booth had a rustic like feel, featuring veggie and fruit stands holding their products. Campbell’s activation site resembled the chill vibe of Cape Cod featuring a light and beachy set up where the Brand Ambassadors were sampling and promoting their new 2oz and 4 oz snack bags. Along with their spaces inside of the expo, Late July and Campbell Snacks had outdoor pop up tents set up in the plaza outside of the Anaheim Convention Center where various activities like yoga, key note speakers, and live music were being hosted. Although the look and feel of each brand differed, they all shared similar values of health and sustainability.

All in all, Expo West is a place where rival and competing companies come together to showcase their brands while also highlighting their key products’ improvements, and Hype’s Brand Ambassadors truly made these brand activations come to life!
