Dayna’s motto is “Do what you love. Love what you do.” She lives this motto everyday. Her passion for her work is apparent to all who meet her and evident in the results she produces for her clients. And in true superwoman fashion, she somehow finds time to climb mountains, back-country ski, capture bad guys, and go on adventures with her two boys.
Prior to founding The Hype Agency, Dayna worked for a large promotional and event marketing agency. She was responsible for the planning and execution of marketing campaigns with an expertise in guerrilla campaigns, experiential marketing, event-based marketing, street teams, and buzz marketing. She is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire where she earned a BS degree in communications and business administration.
Ryane is the kind of girl who you meet and just know she was born with event marketing on the brain. This quirky little workaholic is our resident jukebox—that’s right, pick any song and she’s belting it in seconds. Asked about the work, Ryane says she loves that no two events ever look the same and everything creates for more learning and improving. She relishes that chance to meet staff in the field and bestowing upon them and our clients as much support and good vibes as possible. Lastly, it goes without saying that she loves karaoke, but you want this girl on your trivia team too!
Stephanie is a DIYer with a love for country music and anything in the beauty aisle (maybe she’s born with it?). An admitted social media junkie, you can find her constantly checking, and updating Hype’s various social media accounts with all the buzz of the day. It only makes sense that she would land in a job that is centered on keeping people talking. Aside from playing around on Facebook all day and blogging about Hype’s latest events, she is also an extremely hard worker with the drive and passion to make any project a success. She has moved up quickly here at Hype! and is known around the office for getting sh*t done.
Laurel describes herself as a wanderer. She loves trying new things and going on adventures – whether its saying “hi” to a stranger, baking a new recipe or taking a drive somewhere new; Laurel is up for anything! She is quite the Snapchatter and Instagrammer but takes the time to disconnect and live in the moment. She lives by the motto, “Be the change you want to see in the world” and is inspired by her number one guy, her dad!
Laurel’s greatest accomplishment thus far has been obtaining her master’s degree and she is continuing to learn about the wild world of marketing and promotions here at Hype! She loves the endless world of possibilities that this industry has to offer and enjoys how marketing has opened her eyes to a variety of products, services and ideas!
drew is a movie and media buff who has transplanted himself in los angeles. before moving to la he traveled through england and scotland. when he’s not working with brand ambassadors and clients he enjoys watching sports especially the los angeles angels of anaheim and spending time with his family. growing up, drew wanted to be a baseball player, but went on to accomplishing something bigger, he started a family and had a child. drew’s motto is life is what you make of it and he certainly lives by that motto because he’s consistently trying to better himself every day! if you’re looking for a good laugh make sure to talk to drew. family, friends and awkward silences are his favorite things to laugh about! drew loves working with hype because he’s able to work with different people and helping solve problems!
Sarah has spent most of her life in Rhode Island making her a self-proclaimed “beach bum.” She loves being outside and adventuring around with her favorite pup pal on the weekends. She is a “go with the flow” kind of girl who lives by the motto; “why can’t everybody just be happy?! [WE AGREE!] Sarah knew she would fit right in here at Hype and in the experiential marketing world because she loves to be part of an industry that brings a brighter light to awesome brands! While at the University of RI, she worked as a social media and marketing intern and was responsible for promoting events, engaging with students on campus, and maintaining the social media pages.
Little known fact: if she could walk around barefoot all the time, she would. Lucky for her, we are a relaxed office and shoes are optional!
Stephanie is a recent grad from Johnson & Wales University and excited to be a part of the Hype team. Her favorite part of the wild world of experiential is seeing all of the hard work and behind-the-scenes madness come together to create an incredible end result! Stephanie’s motto is “the littlest act of kindness you do can change the world”. She is all about living a great life and helping others live their best life too! In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering and loves to travel, and explore new places. One of her most coveted items- her Southwest rewards card! Stephanie is someone who enjoys learning and pushing herself to the top!
When Cortney isn’t preoccupied watching her cat’s many talents, you can catch her at an Anaheim Ducks hockey game or cooking up a new recipe in her air fryer! Cortney lives by the motto, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”, and definitely followed that through when she completed the rough draft to her children’s book- The Cat’s Meow! She has a fun habit of keeping hotel keys from past trips which reminds her of all her past adventures and gets her excited for the next!
She is going to fit in perfect at Hype! because she loves seeing an event come together and knowing her hard work is producing real results!!
Jordan is a proud graduate of Johnson and Wales where she played for the Women’s Basketball team. She loves being outside doing anything from going to the beach to hunting and fishing. She is obsessed with her dogs and looks up to her family because of how hardworking they are. Jordan’s motto to live by is “earn it every day” and her favorite part about marketing and promotions is how she can meet new people through new experiences.
With a motto like, “hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard”, it came as no surprise that Tamrah would want to play Coach Boone from Remember the Titans when she was asked “what movie character would she play”! And though her rhythm-less self didn’t make it as a professional dancer, one of her proudest moments was making her college Lacrosse team. Between Tamrah’s can-do attitude, strong work ethic and puppy obsession- we couldn’t be happier that Tamrah has landed here at Hype. As a fellow URI grad to another Hypette, Tamrah brings a welcomed fresh perspective to the team!
Brittany describes herself as fashion and beauty obsessed! And now being in the experiential industry, Brittany loves the unique way experiential and promotions can be so tailored to target consumer’s interests! As an accomplished student speaker at her alma mater, Brittany fits right into the Activation Team which is primarily focused on speaking with hundreds of event staff nationwide. When she’s not binge-watching the Food Network or obsessing over dogs (though she doesn’t have one), she is laughing about basically anything and everything! Her life slogan- “laughter is the best medicine”.
Maureen is our resident organizational freak and advice guru. As the controller, she wears more than one hat functioning as our hr director, financial “numbers” gal, and our supply chief. Basically if you need something, call Maureen. she lives by the motto: just do it. When she isn’t whipping us into shape, Maureen loves to spend time with her two daughters and flying south for the winter.
When Ashley was growing up she always wanted a career in fashion, which is probably why she spends so much time at the mall! Besides being an admitted shopaholic, Ashley finds her happiness when her toes are in the sand or when she’s laughing with her friends. She is super easy going and her favorite quote is, “Life is better when you’re laughing.” Ashley is a fast-learner with a real team-player mentality. One of her greatest accomplishments to date has been making a career change and joining the Hype team!
Diane is such a breath of fresh air in the office. You can find her working away in her corner office updating talent paperwork, answering new hire questions, or chatting it up with her wing woman, Maureen! Diane is busy in and out of the office since being a mom of two is no easy accomplishment but she loves every minute of it. Her guilty pleasures…chocolate, especially Nutella and a good sitcom! If you bump into her in the Hype halls, you are sure to see a smile on her face – her motto: Always smile….it will make your day better & probably someone else’s too!
When Kara was younger, she dreamt of being a flight attendant and although she doesn’t spend her days in the air, she is obsessed with traveling and loves exploring new places! Kara is a bright ray of sunshine here at Hype and her is motto is “A little spark of kindness can put a colossal burst of sunshine into someone’s day.” When Kara is not at her desk with an ear to ear smile, she is spending time with her family and traveling to her son’s hockey games!
