On July 27th, The Hype Agency was able to donate our services by providing event staff, both servers and bartenders, for Walk With Sally’s Seventh Annual White Light White Night Event.
Our 7th Annual White Light White Night was held on July 27th 2013 at MBS Media Campus in Manhattan Beach, CA . MBS Media Campus’ back lot and sound stage were transformed into a picturesque setting that embodied the feel of old Hollywood glamour – decked in white! Big Bad Voodoo Daddy gave a performance to 1000 attendees.
Attendees enjoyed a “Taste of Los Angeles”, which included samplings from 20 acclaimed local restaurants and engaged in our exciting Silent and Live Auction. This year Walk With Sally presented the first annual “Beacon of Light Award,” which honors individuals who give above and beyond, year after year, to help grow Walk With Sally’s mission. It was presented to Mike and Andrea Zislis of the Zislis Group and Shade Hotels for all of their hard work and support throughout the years.

Walk With Sally is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mentoring & other support programs to children of parents or siblings with cancer – one child at a time, one heart at a time. Hype’s Co-Founder, Kate Bright, was once a mentor so this charity is near and dear to all of our hearts!
“I had the opportunity to meet an amazing ten year old girl, Diana, whose mother had cancer. Our outings were simple, a trip to the park, the movies, to get ice cream, or just a chance to hang out and talk. The best part of our friendship was having the time to just get to know each other. We rarely have that in our hectic lives, it was wonderful to take time out in order to just be there for someone in need. I was giving her a little fun in her daily life and a shoulder to lean on, but she gave me so many priceless memories and life lessons as well,” said Kate Bright, about her experience volunteering with the organization.
With our help, Walk with Sally raised over $200,000! On behalf of The Hype Agency, we would like to extend a big thank you to all of the brand ambassadors, event staff, and internal staff that helped to make this event a huge success!
