Cheers to 6 Years! High-five Maureen!
Monday, March 2nd marked our very own, Maureen Mootrey’s, 6-year anniversary with The Hype Agency! Maureen is not only our controller, HR director and accounting head- she is our sage advice giver, moral booster and keep us all in line. To say that Maureen wears many hats is an understatement! Maureen keeps us grounded, glued together and on the right track. So lets celebrate this milestone anniversary with Hype’s 20 Questions!
- How did you get started at Hype?
- While looking to pick up work for a couple days a week, I saw an ad for HYPE’s part time bookkeeper position and it sounded like an exciting place to work. I was right!
- How many Hype photo-shoots have you been involved in?
- How many checks have you written?
- OMG! 6 years, 312 weeks, average 125 checks per week? About 40 thousand!
- What was your first time like? …. dealing with tax season at a staffing agency?
- Ha! Who knew?! Busier than I thought, but awesome!
- What super power do you think would help make your job easier?
- Without a doubt, mind reading. (is that a super power?)
- Who would you like to play your life story in a movie?
- Edie Falco, Carmella, not Jackie!
- How many rings before you answer the phone?
- What is your most ordered lunch item?
- Duh! Thai, Drunken Noodles Chicken
- When you were 6 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?
- 6? Nurse probably. Teenage and after, accountant.
- Do you have a funny moment or story from the office to share?
- My funny moments and stories can’t usually be shared!

- Pen, black rollerball only.
- How do you unwind (unwine’d) over the weekends?
- No such thing as me unwinding. But I really do enjoy hanging with friends and having a glass of wine (or 3).
- If you could pick up the office and move it anywhere in the world, where would we land?
- Australia, but probably only for a month or so, then would most likely want to be back in New England.
- What is your best memory thus far being at Hype?
- Coming on full time and realizing I found my niche.
- What is your favorite way to waste time at work without getting caught?
- Hmm…Facebook or Pinterest I guess.

- What is set as the background on your computer?
- Sigh.. my pool in Florida
- Name one thing that you couldn’t live without.
- Three things I think will become obsolete in 10 years.
- Premium Cable TV, Fax Machines, computer CDs
- Would you rather plan a party or attend one? Why?
- Plan! I love to plan!! It is the best part of the party. And when I plan a party, you know it will be a good one!
