3rd Annual #PromoLoveStory – Jae & T

Whether you fell in love with the experiential industry one day while picking up a street team gig, met your best friend working a week long convention or fell in love with your significant other over a food sampling activation- we wanted to hear your Promo Love Story! For the third year in a row, we received such fun and heart-warming stories but only one could be the winner!

“Terrio and I met in 2011 as brand ambassadors working an event for LG in Atlanta. At the time, I was working full-time as a brand ambassador and quit my job in corporate America less than a year prior to pursuing a full-time career in Experiential Marketing. There were supposed to be three of us executing the event as brand ambassadors, but as luck would have it, the other brand ambassador didn’t show up, so it was just myself and Terrio for 5 hours. We got a chance to work together and to be honest; I was not interested in him. At the completion of the event, he was so nervous that he stuttered the whole time while asking for my number. The rest is history and here we are 7 years later. We have been married since 2013 and have been executing events as brand ambassadors, tour and production managers for the past 7 years. We have learned so much about being a professional tour team and working around each other 24/7. We know other couples in the industry, who struggle with separating work from their personal relationship, but we have mastered the art of being a dynamic tour team. As a married couple, we have been able to execute events nationwide for some of the coolest brands, travel to over 25 countries, and mentor upcoming brand ambassadors in the industry. No relationship is perfect but learning how to compromise and complement each other is key. We plan on starting a family one day, but until then, we will continue to travel and pursue our dreams!”
