Talent Tip Tuesday: Traveling for Super Bowl LII

From the desk of Laurel:

For anyone who watched this past weekend’s football games, you know we are in for a VERY exciting weekend of conference championship games before Super Bowl LII in a few short weeks.

Here at Hype, we are prepping for our 4th Super Bowl trip and we wanted to share a few tips to get you ready for your travels to the Bold North.

WHAT TO PACK
When the state has the nickname of MinneSNOWta, you better come prepared. It’s cold where we are in NH but even we have a few staples that are on our list to pick up before packing.  With temps ranging between 20 to 40 degrees and a wind chill of -10, layers are a must. In addition to a good pair of winter boots, hats and gloves, a long jacket is a necessity.  A peacoat won’t cut it!  A few additional life savers that we plan to pick before take off would be a face mask, hand warmers and we are even debating some fleece lined jeans and maybe an ice scraper for our rental ????.

AIRPORT NAVIGATION
Our local team has confirmed that ride sharing apps, such as Lyft and Uber, can be used for pick up at the airport. BUT don’t forget to check with the hotel you’re staying at, they sometimes offer a shuttle!

FAN FUN
While Super Bowl LII itself will be inside, Super Bowl LIVE presented by Verizon will transform 6 blocks of downtown into a winter wonderland filled with snow globes, sleigh rides, life size ice sculptures, skating rinks, food trucks, concerts and even snowmobiling!  Worried about being cold? You most likely will be BUT there are skyways to help get around and fight off the cold as long as you can.  Super Bowl LIVE will be open Jan 26 – Feb 4 and free to the public , fingers crossed we’ll see some Patriot’s fans in town 😉

The Super Bowl Experience Driven by Genesis however, will be inside the convention center if you do want to escape the cold.  You’ll have the chance to take a picture with the Vince Lombardi trophy, kick a fieldgoal, run drills, have target practice and so much more! Super Bowl Experience will be open Jan 27 – Feb 3, tickets are available on TicketMaster.

GAME DAY
Headed to U.S. Bank stadium for kick off?  Parking lots open at 11am, gates open at 1pm with kick off set for 5:30pm CST.

Not in town for the game? You can watch on NBC, we know we’re excited to see JT at halftime!

19 days until kick off, who do you expect to see on the field?
